Biography
Mr. Hashimi is a highly experienced team member as Senior Associate in the Firm. He is member of Afghanistan Independent Bar Association and has been practicing law for more than 14 years, brining experience of working with international organizations on legal positions. He holds LLM from International Islamic University in Islamabad. Mr. Hashimi has been providing expert legal advice to clients in private and public sectors in Afghanistan.
Mr. Hashimi’s areas of expertise include Foreign Trade, Safeguard, Food Safety, Standard and Technical
Regulation, Trade Secrets Law, and Layout Designs of Integrated Circuits Affairs.
Previously, Mr. Hashimi worked as legal advisor for Chemonics International’s different projects in Afghanistan, such as Trade and Accession Facilitation for Afghanistan (TAFA I&II, Afghanistan Trade and Revenue Project) which resulted in accession of Afghanistan to World Trade Organization (WTO) in
2015. Mr. Hashimi also worked as Legal Consultant from 2007 – 2010 with United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) for Trade Facilitation and Customs Modernization Project. He has also worked as legal consultant with Asian Development Bank (ADB) Trade Facilitation Project at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of Afghanistan. He started practicing law in 2003 with the International Development Law Organization (IDLO), reforming Afghanistan judicial system, providing training on job training for judges, prosecutors and member of Ministry of Justice of Afghanistan.
